چکیده
This article studies the evolution of social power in influence networks with stubborn individuals. We formulate two models grounded on Friedkin–Johnsen opinion dynamics and reflected appraisal mechanism; are defined over issue sequences a single issue, respectively. The key advance original DeGroot–Friedkin is that proposed include empirically observed phenomenon stubbornness are, therefore, more realistic. obtain various results about existence equilibria, their uniqueness, global attractivity. Evolution of Social Power in Social Networks with Dynamic Topology
The recently proposed DeGroot-Friedkin model describes the dynamical evolution of individual social power in a social network that holds opinion discussions on a sequence of different issues. This paper revisits that model, and uses nonlinear contraction analysis, among other tools, to establish several novel results. First, we show that for a social network with constant topology, each individ...

Opinion Dynamics and the Evolution of Social Power in Influence Networks
This paper studies the evolution of self appraisal, social power and interpersonal influencesfor a group of individuals who discuss and form opinions about a sequence of issues. Our empirical modelcombines the averaging rule by DeGroot to describe opinion formation processes and the reflected appraisalmechanism by Friedkin to describe the dynamics of individuals’ self appraisal and ...
متن کاملCo-Evolution of Selection and Influence in Social Networks
Many networks are complex dynamical systems, where both attributes of nodes and topology of the network (link structure) can change with time. We propose a model of co-evolving networks where both node attributes and network structure evolve under mutual influence. Specifically, we consider a mixed membership stochastic blockmodel, where the probability of observing a link between two nodes dep...
متن کاملImpact of Social Influence on Individuals’ Adoption of Social Networks in Smes
While prior studies focused on the determinants of adoption of technological innovation in large scale businesses, there is a lack of empirical research on this issue of acceptance of social networks in SMEs in emerging economies. This study addresses this lacuna by focusing on the social factors driving Indonesian SMEs’ adoption of technological innovation. A theoretical model based on the ext...
